the car is not the default

What is your default? I I mean that in the default mode of transportation. When I tell you can you visit me in the other city is your first thought to the street with its warm streetlights or do you know the schedule of the train leaving by heart (or wonder at what hour no train will probably drive).

When I still had a car my default remained local forms of transportation (bicycle, walking and ÖPNV). I had to justify taking the car which would cost (sprit and maintenance) when I could go there for free, next to free or I already paid my yearly ticket.

It baffles me to see so many live with cars even though parking is always a problem and driving in a city is stressful. Don't get me wrong using public transport is stressful because dirt and harassment (or dealing with people at least depends on how far you score in the white men normie scala)

I still enjoy having convenient way to arrive somewhere then to have to call the repair service because my car battery is once again dead from all the non driving it does.
