doing 40 about 2025 questions on the first try

I'm answering the 40 questions from Steph Ango (kepano on GitHub). The 40 questions can be found here. Please note that I wrote these over the last couple of weeks and sometimes needed to look into my photos, letterboxd, reading list in notion, Spotify or ask my partner what the fuck happen. Time in a day crawls but over a year it feels so elusive. Anyway I hope you find something interesting about my life. It was fun to reflect so deeply.

  1. What did you do this year that you’d never done before? Was the Game Master of multiple Pen and paper sessions at our house

  2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions? Being active in communities... not that much I went to my drawing meet up but realized at the end that I don't have a lot of energy left for it. I went to a queer tarot meetup. So it felt like I went more out. Even alone.

  3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Nope

  4. Did anyone close to you die? Not close to me no

  5. What cities/states/countries did you visit?

  1. What would you like to have next year that you lacked this year? More time with friends, more time in a sports club with other humans

  2. What date(s) from this year will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

  1. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Building up a business and selling two kits from it. But more the build up and organizing everything

  2. What was your biggest failure? Not being able talking probably with a friend that went undercover

  3. What other hardships did you face?

  1. What was the best thing you bought? Home Assistant for my kitchen lights

  2. Whose behavior merited celebration? My bike trip friend who didn't train for it still doing it with suboptimal gear

  3. Whose behavior made you appalled? People trying to buy my car with "what's the last price"

  4. Where did most of your money go? Food? I do one calculation where it all goes but I think besides rent. Because I do like to invest in food that makes me happy and healthy

  5. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Home Assistant, going on an bike tour, hosting pen and paper, doing the business and starting more crafty stuff

  6. What song will always remind you of this year? Attention from Big Ocean. The concert and the evening following it was just great. OH and golden. I am basic gal what shall I say. OKAY the entire K-pop OST

  7. Compared to this time last year, are you: happier or sadder? Richer or poorer? Healthier or unhealthier?

  1. What do you wish you’d done more of? Sport, spent time with friends, did more clubbing, spent more time outside

  2. What do you wish you’d done less of? Playing ns2 -_- , doing lists and reorganizing lists

  3. How are you spending the holidays? Outside the city, in nature, wandering or cycling, in warmer regions

  4. Did you fall in love this year? I still love my partner just very very much

  5. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year? A friend who ghosted me and my partner

  6. What was your favorite show? Summer Strike

  7. What was the best book you read? Non fiction: Am I trans enough Fiction: lessons in magic and disaster Audiobook: legends and lattes

  8. What was your greatest musical discovery of the year? Feminist Pussy Pop in my mother tongue OR K Pop Demon Hunters who knows

  9. What was your favorite film? Kpop Demon Hunters with Flow being a runners up

  10. What was your favorite meal? Eating Japanese curry after playing pen and paper

  11. What did you want and get? Home Assistant with kitchen lighting, the wildsea RPG, blue ray player, a new Casio watch that don't fit my arm

  12. What did you want and not get? E Ink devices or dumphone

  13. What did you do on your birthday? Going to a zoo and watching the stars at the plantitarium

  14. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Having friends coming more to me and just vibing. Doing small stuff.

  15. How would you describe your personal fashion this year? Sophisticated and confident

  16. What kept you sane? My Partner, having a stable income, working part time

  17. Which celebrity/public figure did you admire the most? Louie Zong

  18. What political issue stirred you the most? FCK Trump and even more the far right party getting more and more votes Freon Assholes

  19. Who did you miss? My friend who wrote their master thesis and had so little free time

  20. Who was the best new person you met? Sophia just a outgoing person who wants to do stuff actually

  21. What valuable life lesson did you learn this year? Taking hormones is possible. Figuring life out as it's your first time is good as otherwise you are still and afraid.

  22. What is a quote that sums up your year? Getting the hang but not hagging out enough
